Mrs. Carol Sergeant Davis, 88, of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.
Mrs. Davis was born November 15, 1937 in Charlotte, NC to the late Carroll Smith and Jenny Briggs Sergeant. She was a charter member of the Rock Hill Quilters Guild and a long-term member of the Catawba Yacht Club. Carol was a well-known artist and crafter in York County and donated several of her pieces to the York County Historical Society and the York County Arts Council. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and she will be missed tremendously.
Survivors are her husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Davis; daughter Laura Leigh Davis (Gary Reynolds) of West Virginia; sons William Scott Davis (Laura) of Concord, NC and David Pike Davis (Pamela Miller) of Lake Wylie, SC; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters Mazie, Virginia, and Jean.
A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC with the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.
