Carol George Obituary

Mrs. Carol Ann George, 74, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Carol was born on September 27, 1951, in Binghamton, NY, to the late Francis and Anna (Layton) Charlier. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank George; her sister, Mary Ramey; her brother, Francis Charlier; and her brother-in-law, William Pratt.

Carol is survived by her devoted daughter, Karen Serdula (John) of Clover, SC; and her cherished grandchildren, Adam Serdula and Emily Serdula, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Pratt; her brother, Robert (Pat) Charlier; her sister-in-law, Mary Charlier; her brother-in-law, Richard Ramey; and her very best friend, Lisa (Ron) Allen. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Although Carol lived in several places throughout her life, she made her home in the Carolinas in 2001, where she was grateful to be close enough to watch her grandchildren grow. She retired from Harris Teeter as a Fresh Foods Manager, a role she took great pride in, and spent her retirement years enjoying time with family and her devoted friend, Lisa.

Carol loved deeply, though often quietly. She looked forward to her weekly card games with her sister, trips to the beach, and the occasional outing to try her luck gambling. She was a loyal fan of Yankee baseball and Jets football, rarely missing a chance to cheer on her teams.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol’s honor to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 www.cancer.org .
