Mrs. Carol Joann Gehrke Kessinger, 96, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Pruitt Health, Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Kessinger was born April 11, 1930 in Coshocton, OH to the late William and Edna Wilson Gehrke.  She was a loving woman who lived a modest life and wanted for nothing.  One of Carol’s favorite things to do was color.

Survivors are her sons Paul Komarinski, Jr. of Clover, SC, Robert Daniel Komarinski of Greensburg, PA, and Frank Wayne Komarinski (Crystal) of Ridgeway, SC; granddaughter Sonya Daum (Marc) of Clover, SC; great grandchildren Christopher Adam Norus(Sarah), Dana McManus (Bryan), Sarah A Barnes (Justin), and Rex Evan Thomas; great great grandchildren Melodie Grayce McManus, Katherynn McManus, Tucker McManus, Benjamin Reece McManus, Bryan Douglas McManus, Adam Kole Norus, Isaac Wells McManus, Zoieanne Marie Thomas, Thomas Patrick Barnes, Ireland Ruth McManus, Lincoln Barnes, and Dani Roe Manessah McManus.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Komarinski, Sr., her second husband, Carl Kessinger, a brother, Paul William Gehrke, and her sisters, Alma Meyer and Anita Baker.

Carol’s final resting place will be with her beloved Carl at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, FL.
