Mrs. Carole Ann Pitzer Polk, also known as Granny, 82, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Clover First Freewill Baptist Church, 501 McConnell Street, Clover, SC, with the Rev. Adam Laster officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC.
Mrs. Polk was born September 29, 1942, in Hillsboro, Ohio, to the late Kenneth Eugene and Mary Katherine Merritt Pitzer. She grew up in Washington Court House, Ohio. She was a longtime member of Clover First Freewill Baptist Church. She was proud to be an Army wife and she loved her Ohio State Buckeyes.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Polk, and her daughter, Rhonda Elaine McFadden Hugg.
Survivors are her daughter Mary Ruth Polk Barnwell; five grandchildren: JC McFadden (Nikki), Amanda Barnwell Butcher (Mike), Bobby McFadden (Chris), Charlotte Baughman (Paul) and Bubba Barnwell (Lindsey), four great grandchildren: Matthew, Liam, Harper, and Sierra and her cat, Buttons.
