Mr. Charles William Crowe, 84, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home and entered eternal life with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2023, following an extensive battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  Charlie was a faithful man who loved the Lord with all his heart, his family, church, and friends.  Charlie was born August 26, 1939, in Benbush, West Virginia, to the late Gilbert and Martha Fike Crowe.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, GeAnna Hallas, his sister, Naomi Nair, and his brothers, Robert Crowe and Glenn Crowe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jane Nemec Shriner Crowe; his daughter, Brenda Jean Frazier, Denver, NC; his son, Charles William Crowe, Jr. (Christine), Sherrills Ford, NC; his sister, Janet Gauer (Ron), Englewood, OH; his four grandchildren, Addie Cogdill (Jamie), Erin Cook (Brian Chastain), Clinton Cunanan (Leandra), and Lindsey Dyer (Josh); and his seven great-grandchildren, Jaxon Cogdill, Ally Cogdill, Landen Chastain, Bryson Dyer, Camden Dyer, Jayden Ramsey, and Callie Cunanan.

Charlie worked for Eastern Airlines-EDS as an Executive VP of Telecommunications.  He also enjoyed flying small planes in his earlier days.

Charlie had a passion for sports and any outdoor activities possible, especially hunting and fishing.  He was a very avid deer and turkey hunter with much success.  He enjoyed fishing freshwater as well as saltwater.  He even guided fishing trips in Florida at Flamingo State Park in Miami. Charlie enjoyed playing many sports during his youth and continued watching baseball, basketball, and hockey among other sports.  In his spare time he enjoyed growing vegetables and had over 200 tomato plants, cucumbers, and squash, which he enjoyed sharing with others.  He also was very handy with his tools and had the ability to fix and build many different items for his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Good Shepherd Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC.  A visitation will follow the service.  Interment will be private at a later date.
