Mr. Charles Bernard Morris, Jr., age 85, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away April 20, 2023, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Mr. Morris was born August 13, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Charles Bernard Morris, Sr. and Betty Gennelli Morris.  He was preceded in death by his wife Annette Badalamente Morris.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Ann Angelou (Bill), Lake Wylie, SC; his grandchildren, William Charles Angelou, Emily Anne Angelou, Nicole Gabrielle Angelou, Michael Vincent Angelou, and Joseph Christian Angelou; and his brother John Morris.

Charlie was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He and his wife, Annette, moved to Lake Wylie after their daughter, Stacey Ann, and her family moved to the area. He wanted to be close to his daughter, son-in-law and his five grandchildren. Nothing was as important to him than his family.  He loved them dearly.

Charles instilled a great love and respect for nature and the outdoors to his daughter, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his brother, John, brother in-laws, Bill, Sal, Al, and Joey in upstate New York.  He took many of his nephews, including, Joe Morris, hunting and fishing often. He created so many wonderful memories with the people he loved. These precious memoires will be remembered and cherished forever.

One of his fondest memories was when the family took many cruises together.  It gave him so much pleasure to see his grandchildren happy.  He would talk about their vacations together with such great love and joy in his heart.  His whole face would light up when he would reminisce about the kids’ eating ice-cream, swimming in the pool, sliding down the sliding pond (as he liked to call it.) There was no greater joy for him than seeing his grandchildren happy.  

Charlie was surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren when he passed. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. 

A visitation will be held at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Church, 530 Highway 274, Lake Wylie, SC, at 2:00 p.m., with Father John Giulani officiating.  Interment will follow in River Hill/Lake Wylie cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
