Mr. Charles Thomas “Chuck” Brewer, age 72 of Clover, SC, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Brewer was born April 11, 1950, in Galax, VA, to the late Frank Charles and Eva Glasco Brewer. Chuck was a 1968 graduate of White Pine High School, White Pine, TN and a 1981 graduate of East Tennessee State University. In 1982, he received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Chuck was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war serving as a Sargent with the 101st Airborne-Airmobile Unit and was a Social Worker with the  SCDHEC for many years before retirement . He served as an Elder at the Clover A.R.P. Church and was a fan of the UT Volunteers.

Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Katherine Rae McElwee Brewer; two daughters, Kelley Brewer, Charlotte, NC, and Katie Amabile (Adrian), Clover, SC; sister, Sally Gaylor, Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Peyton McFalls, CharliRaen, Jude, and Arie Amabile.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Clover ARP Church, 127 Kings Mountain St., Clover, SC, conducted by the Rev. Mark Miller.  Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends before the service in the church fellowship hall from 1:30 until 2:45 pm.
