Charles Marvin Goforth, Sr., age 80, of Clover, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 12, 2021.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC, with Chaplain Nate Cline officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.

Mr. Goforth was born on July 20, 1940, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the late Columbus Jackson Goforth and Virginia Stewart Goforth Davidson.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Marvin Goforth, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Abernathy Goforth; three sons, Larry Goforth, Jeffrey Goforth, Sr., and Michael Goforth; four stepchildren, Jacqueline Dover, Kelly Dover, Katie Dover, and Carl Dover, II; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.  He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Wilkerson, and a brother, Rodney Goforth.
