Mrs. Charlotte Ann McKinney-Morris, 81, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Health Center in Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 4820 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC.  A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV.

Mrs. McKinney-Morris was born April 5, 1941 in Midway, WV to the late Cleophus Duward McKinney and Ruth Mae Skeens McKinney. She was the widow of Ronald Dewayne Morris, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Eugene McKinney of Boise, ID.

Survivors are her daughter Meredith Ann Morris of Lake Wylie, SC; sons Ronald Dewayne Morris, Jr. (wife Jinny) of Lake Wylie, SC and Timothy Madison Morris (wife Chris) of Raleigh, NC.  She has one grandson Owen Alexander Morris.

Charlotte and her husband Ron were active in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 259.  They did woodworking together, building clocks, cabinets, tables, etc.  She helped Ron and family with several personal building projects, including garage workshops built from concrete to roofing.  They loved to travel together and spent 5 years living out of their 5th wheel camper.  She especially loved the time they spent in Key West Florida, Brownsville Texas, and the entire summer they lived in Alaska.  After Ron passed, she became active in Lake Wylie as a volunteer of the Sweet Repeat thrift store and made many close friends there.  She will be dearly missed.
