Ms. Cheryl Lynn Bryson Decker, 70, of Lake Wylie, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, August 25, 2025 at home. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Good Shepherd Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC 28273 with the Rev. Talbot Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church.

Cheryl was born April 29, 1955 in Charlotte, NC to the late Harry Holt Bryson and Carolyn Monroe Bryson. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd, where she served faithfully and formed many cherished friendships.

Cheryl was an avid gardener who found joy in nurturing all things that grow, creating beautiful spaces that reflected her love of life and nature. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who treasured every moment with her family. Known for her generous spirit, Cheryl was selfless with both her time and resources, always putting others before herself. She had a remarkable gift for catching people by surprise with her offbeat humor, creating moments of pure joy and belly laughter when you least expected it. 

Cheryl is survived by her son Will Decker (Bailey) of Ferndale, MI; daughter Mary Tarsitano (Thomas) of Lake Wylie, SC; sisters Kelly Tate (Steve) and Lee Anne Fox (James); grandchildren Nathan English, Cayden Tarsitano, Gavin Tarsitano, and Eleanor Decker; great grandchild Thomas Axel Tarsitano; and goddaughter Jerrica Decker.

Cheryl had a heart full of love for her family and friends, and her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched throughout her years.
