Mr. Clifton Taylor “Sonny” Sifford, Jr., age 90, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

A Memorial Service will be 2pm Friday, April 16, 2021 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC conducted by the Rev. Bob Jack.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be held at a later date in the Jackson Family Plot at Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC.

Mr. Sifford was born January 25, 1931 to the late Clifton Taylor Sifford, Sr. and Carrie Coleman Sifford.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie S. Price and his daughter, Vickie L. Woods.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Jane Jackson Sifford, Lake Wylie, SC, daughters Terri E. Oley (Gerry), Ft. Mill, SC, and Kim Morrill (Mike), Charlotte, NC, 5 grandchildren, Gregory White, Clifton Woods, Jackson and Christopher Morrill, and Barbara Oley, 2 great grandchildren, Arturious White and Parker James Morrill.  From a previous marriage his son, Clifton E. Sifford (Cathy), Evansville, IN and daughter, Jan S. Lambert (John), Morehead City, NC

Sonny graduated Harding High School Class 1949. He served State side in The Air-force during the Korean War. He was a founding member of the Charlotte Water Ski Club and the Charlotte Ski Bees Club! Sonny lived to fly, he had his own airplane and would love to fly to Key West for Key Lime Pie. Or you could find him flying a kite from behind his ski boat as well as flying down the Black Diamond at the ski slope! Golf was another great passion of his!
