Mrs. Cynthia Whitworth Hester, 71, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center, Fort Mill, South Carolina, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, 834 W. Old Limestone Road, York, SC, with Pastor William Lingerfelt and Rev. T-Jay Addison officiating.  Interment will be in Bethany A.R.P. Church Cemetery, 1454 Hwy. 161, North, Clover, SC.   The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hester was born September 21, 1953, in Kings Mountain, NC, to the late Paul Monroe Whitworth and Hazel Ann Wells Whitworth. She was preceded in death by grandchildren Hunter and Cole Lingerfelt. 

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald Eugene Hester; her daughters, Jennifer Ann Addison (T-Jay), Marion, NC, and Angie Hester, Clover, SC; her son, James Chad Lingerfelt (Michelle), Clover, SC; her grandchildren, Will Lingerfelt, Chloe Lingerfelt, Jada Logan, Landri Silvers, Levi Addison (Kaylee), Jake Addison, Lukas Addison, and Aniyah Robbins; her great grandchild on the way, Asher Addison; and her brother, Tommy Dell Whitworth.
