Mr. Jerry Dale McKenzie II, 42, of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, surrounded by his family at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Dale was born on October 10, 1983, in Charlotte, NC to Dale and Gayle McKenzie.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rena McKenzie; son Landon McKenzie; parents Dale and Gayle McKenzie all of Clover, SC; and his sister Jessica Price (Brian) of Mt. Holly, NC.

Dale was a 2001 graduate of East Gaston High School in Mt. Holly, NC, where he and Rena met and became sweethearts.  Dale and Rena wed in 2004, and welcomed their son, Landon the following year.  Landon currently attends Western Carolina University.

Dale worked at Wood Artistry Cabinet Solutions in York, SC restoring, building, and installing cabinets.  A job he approached with pride, dedication, and qualities that defined his life.

Dale was deeply involved in the racing community, where he built lasting friendships and lived out his dream of being the best. 

Those who knew Dale will remember his quick wit, warm smile and the stories he could tell.  He believed in hard work and showing up for the people he loved.  Whether behind the wheel, or with family and friends, Dale lived a life with quiet strength and a genuine heart. 

Dales’ legacy of love, laughter and dedication will live on through all who were blessed to know him.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, NC. 

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 Saturday before the service.
