Mr. David Winters Welday, Jr, 92, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at home.

Mr. Welday was born on September 16, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late David W. Welday and Mary Louise Brown Welday.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Sally P. Welday, his children, David W. Welday, III, (Amy), Oviedo, FL, John R. Welday (Cherie), Braselton, GA, and Mary Beth Poplin (Steven), Concord, NC; his seven grandsons, David, Darren, Jason, Michael, Greer, Aaron, and Daniel; his nine great grandchildren; and his brother, Richard B. Welday (Carol), Denton, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at The Journey at Lake Wylie, 5415 Hwy. 557, Lake Wylie, SC, with the Rev. Kenny Ashley and the Rev. Chris Thayer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
