Mr. Donald Ergo Johnson, 82, of Clover, South Carolina, departed this life, meeting his Savior face to face, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Don was born November 10, 1942, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to the late Walker Faris Johnson and Maude Davis Johnson. He retired from Siemens in 2001 after 32 years of service.

Don was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed farming and traveling with his family. His many other interests included flying an airplane for several years, and later flying model airplanes, beekeeping, and horseback riding. He served as both Deacon and Elder at Bethel Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Clover, SC and was a frequent delegate to the PCA General Assembly.  He cared deeply for others, often putting them above himself, and faithfully visited the elderly and the sick, especially during his retirement years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Pritchard Johnson; children Edward Johnson (Cheryl), Susan Ramsey (Michael) and Candace Williams (Joe); grandchildren Noah, Nathan and Rachel Johnson and Courtney, Benjamin and Abigail Ramsey, and extended family. He was preceded in death by brothers W. F. Johnson and Kenneth E. Johnson, and sister Zoe Faris Johnson.

He fought the good fight and has finished the race.  To God be all praise and glory.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2445 Highway 557, Clover, SC, with the Rev. Chris Donnelly and the Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center following the service.
