Mrs. Donna Lee Ragland Schaub, 80, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away August 16, 2025, at  home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Schaub was born April 28, 1945, in Washington, DC, to the late Robert Ragland and Elizabeth Miller Becker.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Darrell Schaub, and her son, Robert J. Storm.

Donna Lee will be remembered for her boundless love of life, her family, and the simple joys that brought her peace. An avid pet lover and devoted gardener, she found happiness in caring for all living things and making beauty bloom around her. She was a true do-it-yourselfer, always ensuring that every project was done right and with pride. Donna cherished her time at the beach, where she felt most at home, and held her family close to her heart above all else. A steadfast and outspoken Republican, she never wavered in her convictions. Most of all, Donna will be remembered for her strength and courage as she faced ALS with unshakable determination and grace.

She is survived by her son, Eric C. Storm, and wife Julie, Fort Mill, SC, her four grandchildren, Robbie Storm, Erin Storm, and Elliott Chitwood, and her sisters, Lynne Dunn and Marcia Becker.

A service celebrating the life of Donna will be held September 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., the M. L. Ford and Sons Lake Wylie Chapel, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC, followed by a celebration at the River Hills Marina, 54 Marina Road, Lake Wylie, SC.  The family ask that you bring a note card with a special memory of Donna.

The family would like to thank the loving caregivers who made her happy and became like family – Katherine Gilles, Sandra Guy, Michaelyn Sherrill and the caring team at Home Instead.
