Lance Corporal Dylan Avery Simpson, 23, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, in Oceanside, CA.
LCpl Simpson was born on November 12, 2001, in Charlotte, NC, to Ashleigh Luther Simpson and Billy Stephen Simpson.
Dylan was a true family man through and through. He was a loving husband to his wife Kassy; and an energetic father to his son Silas. They loved going to the San Diego Zoo on their days off to see and teach Silas about his favorite animal, the Red Panda. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, you could find him gaming with his friends or on the golf course attempting to make that perfect hole in one.
Dylan had a huge smile that everyone adored; and a laugh that was truly contagious. Any room he walked into was 10 times brighter. His goal was to make you laugh no matter how short the encounter was. He was truly loved and cherished by all.
He is survived by his wife, Kassy-Ann Redman Simpson, Ellijay, GA; his son, Silas Michael Rowan Simpson; his second child, due in 4 months; his mother, Ashleigh Simpson, Charlotte, NC; his father, Billy Simpson, Charlotte, NC; his sister, Emma Simpson, Charlotte, NC; his brother, Stephen Simpson (Layla), Oceanside, CA; his maternal grandparents, Mark and Cathy Luther, Charlotte, NC; and his paternal grandparents, Carey and Rita Simpson; Charlotte, NC.
