Mr. Edward Joseph Varricchio, 56, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Atrium Health, Pineville, NC surrounded by his family. 

Mr. Varricchio was born April 20, 1966 in Hollywood, FL to the late Thomas Cosmo Varricchio and the late Joan Marie Higgins Maxwell. He was also proceeded in death by a brother, Joseph Markwell. 

Edward was fond of the great outdoors from ATV ridding, mudding, to car shows, NASCAR and a great bargain at the swap shop. He enjoyed vacationing at Old Town and St. Augustine in Florida. He liked to secretly buy a daily coke and a snickers bar whenever he would go to the stores thinking no one from the family would ever know he had something to eat or drink, but everyone always knew. Edward liked eating good BBQ, Italian, and Cuban food and loved spending time with family especially his grandkids. Edward was a great story teller, although his stories never had an ending, his stories brought laughter and will continue to bring laughter for years to come. Edward, was a man of many gifts and talents. A man who selflessly and endlessly gave and helped others expecting nothing in return, a man who was deeply loved and will be forever missed and carried in the hearts and memories of his loved ones. 

Survivors are his wife Flora Lourdes Padron; daughters Elizabeth Pujlas and Andria Varricchio; brothers Thomas Cosmo Varricchio, Steve Varricchio, and Kurt Varricchio; sister Marie Morris, grandchildren; Aaliyah, Joseph, and Layana; grand dog Gunner and service dog Bella.
