Mrs. Dellinger was born July 14, 1924 in Stanley, NC to the late Cecil Crowell and Margaret Lana Friday Lutz
She was the widow of Clyde Dellinger.
Mrs. Dellinger was known as a hard worker. She loved working on the farm and taking care of her huge garden and yard full of flowers. She maintained a youthful frame of mind and could be seen playing basketball with her grandchildren well up into her 90’s. With the support of her son and his family, she still lived in her own home at the age of 100. She was an incredible cook and loved to open her home to family and friends to enjoy a good home cooked meal. Known and loved as Nan to her grandchildren and their friends, her door was always open.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Saine, Jr., his wife Judie Hill Saine, an infant grandson, Carl Saine III, her brother and sister, and all of her brothers and sisters in law.
Survivors are her daughter Rita D. Beamguard (Jonathan) of Clover, SC; son Rev. Mark Dellinger (Tabitha) of Blacksburg, SC; nine grandchildren, David Saine (Rae), Russell Saine (Kelly), Olivia Valentine (Jon), Christian Beamguard (Cali), Lauren Dellinger, Levi Dellinger, Luke Dellinger, Jon McClain Beamguard and Kylee Elsi Beamguard; six great grandchildren, Sadie Norris (Dylan), Chloe Saine, Drew Saine, Andy Saine, Lani Valentine, and Clyde Valentine; and one great, great grandchild, Kipp Russell Norris.
