Mr. Francis George Amorosano “Frank”, 84, father, husband, brother, son, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Amorosano was born February 23, 1942 in Mount Vernon, NY to the late Charles and Frances Insky Amorosano.  Mr. Amorosano worked in the Grocery industry spending over 40 years with Inserra Supermarkets in northern New Jersey where he attained the level of Vice President of Grocery Operations.  He was a U. S. Navy Veteran having served with distinction as a Gunner’s Mate on the Destroyer U.S.S. James C. Owens during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Mr. Amorosano was an avid sports fan, with allegiances to the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Steelers.  He volunteered as a coach for his children’s sports teams and never missed an opportunity to play games with his children or others in the neighborhood.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife of 59 years Claire.  Following retirement, he enjoyed playing golf and cards on a weekly basis.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Claire Hussey Amorosano; daughter Theresa A. Makwinski (Matt) of Fort Mill, SC; sons Dennis Amorosano (Jill) of Weems, VA and Pete Amorosano (Catherine) of Demarest, NJ; grandchildren Talia Barnes, Ty Amorosano, Jack Amorosano, Marissa Makwinski, Abby Makwinski, Everette Amorosano, and Tobias Amorosano; and sisters Maureen Osbourne and Michele Schmidt both of Allen, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Larne Building, 103 N. Main Street, Clover, SC.
