Fred Lewis Dover, Sr., 67 of 1475 Ole Cambridge Circle, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Elwood Seamster and Rev. Dr. Tom Tatum officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover and other time at his home, 1475 Ole Cambridge Circle, Clover.

Born in York, SC, Mr. Dover was the son of the late Walter L. and Jeanette F. Dover.  He graduated Clover High School in 1965.  He joined the U. S. Army, July 1965, 1st  Calvary Division and later served in the Vietnam War.  He received the following awards, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, 1 O/S Bar, Army Commendation Medal and Combat Infantryman’s Badge.  Mr. Dover was of Baptist faith his entire life being a member of First Baptist Church Clover and most recently Calvary Baptist Church.  He was devoted to his job of 45 years at Westinghouse/Siemans.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  His passion was his family.  Nothing made him happier than being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed taking vacations with his family.  He was proud of his family.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years Diane Jenkins Dover; daughter Tracy Millen (Randy Sr.); sons Freddy Dover (Tina) and Robbie Dover (Jessica) all of Clover, SC; brother Perry Dover of Myrtle Beach, SC and Johnny Dover (Barbara) of Clover, SC; grandchildren Gary Dover (Dana), Casey Carpenter (Scott), Randy Millen, Matthew Millen, Kaleb Dover, and Logan Dover; great grandchildren Jordan, Teagan, & Trenton Dover and Rylan Carpenter; and special friends Abby Wells, Allison Ludwig and Marie Spearman.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamey Millen.
