Mr. Gary Lane Baldwin, 81, of Clover, SC passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, NC surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Greater Life Ministries, 3307 Filbert Highway, Clover, SC.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the service at the Church.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Roselane Cemetery, 1033 Rose Lane, Toccoa GA.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. before the service at Whitlock Mortuary, 120 Rose Lane, Toccoa, GA.

Mr. Baldwin was born December 13, 1943 in Oconee County, SC to the late Raymond James and Artie Pearl Collins Baldwin.  He worked at WABCO in Toccoa, GA until he moved to Clover, SC in 1976 to work for Duke Energy at the Catawba Nuclear Station.  He worked as a welder and nuclear maintenance technician until he retired in 1999.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He loved camping at the beach, fishing and working in his yard on his Kubota tractor.  

Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Holland Baldwin; daughters Cheri Lane Bruce of Lavonia, GA and Melissa Campbell of Clover, SC; sons Russell Alan Baldwin of Westminster, SC and Michael Lee Baldwin (Vanessa) of Anderson, SC; special daughters from God, Lisa Judd and Susan Caldwell Killian of Clover, SC; brother Charles Baldwin (Sue) of Seneca, SC; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.    

He was grateful to his special friends and neighbors who surrounded him with compassion and care.
