Mr. Gerald Ray “Jerry” Dyer, age 79, of the River Hills community, Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital, Pineville, NC.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC conducted by the Rev. Bruce Jones. Interment will follow the service at the River Hills/Lake Wylie Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Dyer was the son of the late John Gerald and Anna Louise Malcom Dyer.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Hecht.  Jerry had served in the U. S. Army and was a retired ramp agent with TWA airlines.  Jerry was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. 

Survivors are his wife, Linda Hartman Dyer; three sons, Scott Dyer, Lakewood, CO; Andrew Dyer (Tess), St. Louis, MO, and Christopher Dyer, Marfa, TX; brother, Steve Dyer (Trisha), Wentzville, MO; three grandchildren, Alex, Emily, and Benjamin Dyer; and sister-in-law, Cathy (Allen) Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Foundation of choice, the Wounded Warrior Project, the USO, the local Humane Society or the local Food Bank.
