Mrs. Geralyn Griffin Ferrell, 90, of York, SC, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be Saturday May 17th at 11 AM at Christ Ridge PCA, 1070 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill, SC with the Rev. Nathan Ecarma and Rev. Leo Markwat officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the Church.

Mrs. Ferrell was born April 27, 1935 in Columbia, SC to the late Gerald Rhame and Lillian Lucas Griffin. She lived the first half of her life in Cayce, SC where she met her late husband of 68 years William Thomas Ferrell.

Survivors are her daughter Laurie F. Hawkins (Dennis) of York, SC; son Thomas R. Ferrell (Alisha) of Huntersville, NC; sisters Janice G. Catoe of Seminole, FL and June G. Dula (Bill) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren Wesley T. Ferrell; Megan Newbern (Chris); Mandy M Hawkins; Ava Ferrell; Mason Ferrell; Ashlynne Sprague; Oliver Sprague; and Hannah Sprague; and great grandchildren Elizabeth Newbern; Eleonor Newbern; Benjamin Newbern; and Finn Newbern.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald R. Griffin, Jr. and a great grandson, Matthew Alex Newbern.
