Mrs. Gladys Marie Johnson Turner, 75, of Lake Wylie, SC, died October 9, 2020 at Novant Health Medical Center in Matthews, NC.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. pm Saturday October 17, 2020 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Please wear mask and practice social distancing during visitation and funeral.   Private inurnment will be in Evergreen Mausoleum, Belmont, NC.

Mrs. Turner was born February 11, 1945 in Benson, NC, to the late Walter Mack and Daisy Mangum Johnson.  Mrs. Turner retired in 2017 as Franchise Administration Manager at Hendrick Automotive Group, Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Turner attended the Community Church at Lake Wylie when her health would allow before Covid-19. 

Survivors are her husband Thomas Richard Turner; son Matthew “Matt” Turner of Charlotte, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Shorty McLamb, Indian Trail, NC, brother William “Mann” Johnson, Benson, NC; sister-in-law Judy Johnson, Raleigh, NC; many loving nieces and nephews, special neighbors and many wonderful friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jessie “Lady” Dixon, Effie Smith, Jewel Higgins; and brothers Mack, Frank Dan and Don Johnson.
