Glenn Lee Beatty, 69, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on February 10, 2026, after a short illness. He was born in Abington, Pennsylvania on August 16, 1956 to the late Joshua and Joan Beatty.
Glenn was also preceded in death by his sister Diane Mignogna; brother Edward Earle Beatty; and nephew Jonathan Beatty.
He is survived by his wife Jenice Beatty of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; daughter Lacy (Cari) Zusammen of Charlotte, North Carolina; sons Russ Beatty of Freemansburg, Pennsylvania, and Brian Beatty of Waikapu, Hawaii; sister Robin Beatty (Bob Neveil); brother Howard Beatty; brother-in-law Keith (Andrea) Truman; aunt Ruth Yakamook; uncle Ernest (Wilma) Beatty; nieces Dawn Beatty, Heather Coggins, Christa Wilson, Brenda Shaw, and Rebecca Beatty; nephew Daniel Mignogna; and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Glenn's first love was farming and at nine years old he would ride his bike to his grandparent's farm to "work". He later worked on several large farming operations as well as his own dairy operation in partnership with his cousin Paul in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. He also spent time as a furniture mover with Atlas Van Lines and then later became an owner/operator hauling steel across the Northeast. He spent the last 28 years in his most rewarding position as a Gradall operator and Asphalt Foreman for Blythe Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thank you to everyone at Blythe who showed so much care and concern for Glenn these last few months.
Glenn was the guy you went to when you needed something fixed. If he didn't know how to fix something he would work at it until he figured it out. He loved spending hours and hours in his shop designing, creating, welding, and building all sorts of inventions that he or anyone else might need. He was very generous with his time and would show up to help anyone at any time. It didn't matter who you were or if it was the middle of the night he would be there to help.
"Always leave them laughing" ......... those of us who knew him best will never forget that quick wit and dry sense of humor that always left us laughing!
Special thanks to Dr. Scott Firczak and Dr. David Greenberg and the amazing staff at Randolph Chiropractic for taking such good care of Glenn. Also thank you to Epic Care Hospice for taking such good care of our entire family.
Service will be held at a later date.
