Mr. Gregory Eugene Freeman, 64, of Hickory Grove, South Carolina, passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 12:15 AM, at home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Freeman was born January 5, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Barbara Adams Freeman and the late Harry Eugene Freeman.  He loved his family, fishing, hunting, riding dirt-bikes and motorcycles, traveling and especially the mountains.    

He is survived by his children, Kristal Freeman Gay (Brandon), Bushnell, FL, Steven Tomas Freeman (Jessica), Blacksburg, SC and their mother Katrin Freeman; his mother, Barbara Adams Freeman, Charlotte, NC; his sister, Selena Freeman Lockhart (Joseph), Durham, NC; his grandchildren: Braedon Gay, Jazlynn Freeman, Sutton Freeman, and soon to be adopted Freeman; and his great-grandchild, Ashton Gay.        

A memorial service will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill, 15000 York Road, Charlotte, NC at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 10, 2024.  The family will receive family and friends one hour before the service at the church, beginning at 1:00 PM.  A graveside service will follow the service in the church cemetery.
