Mr. J D Davis, 88, formerly of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the home of his daughter.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Greater Life Ministries, 3307 Filbert Highway, Clover, SC.  The family will receive friends 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC. 

Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Hollybrook Cemetery, 302 Hollybrook Ave., Lincolnton, NC.

Mr. Davis was born October 8, 1932 in Marion, NC to the late Harvey and Isabella Gibson Davis. 

He was a U. S. Army Veteran and the widower of Peggy Davis. He was also, preceded in death by a son, Freddie Roland.

Survivors are his daughters, Caroline Polk (Bobby), Becky Couick (William), and Connie Roland Barker (Douglas), all of Clover, SC; brother, Bill Davis of Gastonia, NC; sister, Hermie Coley of Boiling Springs, SC; eight grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
