Mr. James Robert Ford, 89, formerly of Lincoln Rd., York, SC, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at White Oak Manor, Rock Hill, SC.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Woodside Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church, 2500 S. Doby’s Bridge Road, Fort Mill, SC with the Rev. Stephen M. Austin officiating.

Mr. Ford was born July 4, 1932 in York County, SC to the late James Howard and Mary Brison Ford.  He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran having served at Guam.  Mr. Ford was a longtime member of Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church and served as Deacon and Elder.  He was also a Mason and had retired from Celanese in Rock Hill, SC.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Merritt Ford and brother, Charles Ford.

Survivors are his son Robert “Bob” Ford (Heather) of Fort Mill, SC; and granddaughters Amber Ford and Autumn Ford.
