JT always supported his family and community. He followed and supported the Clover High School Blue Eagles football program. He was a Bethel Fire Department charter member, a Mason at Alpine Lodge 208 in Clover, and a Hejaz Shriner and Shrine Bowl supporter. He was also an avid Clemson Tiger fan. He would go to games all over the East Coast. He was a hole in one golfer, and a member of the Siemens Westinghouse golf league. He loved to ride his Harley and to fish.
