Jane Tarte Jones of Lake Wylie, SC (formerly of Charlotte) answered Jesus’ call and passed from this life into Heaven on December 7, 2023. She crossed over peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Jane was born on December 11, 1949, in Charlotte, NC to Paul and Ann Tarte.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda DeRamus, great-nephew, Gavin Jones, and her beloved fur baby, Marley.

Jane married her high-school sweetheart Richard Joel Jones (Joel) on July 3, 1967, and they shared 56 beautiful years of marriage. They embraced their years together, enjoying family and friends, and spent many years living and entertaining at their boat on Lake Wylie.

Jane loved her family tremendously and always put them first. In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by her daughter, Ashleigh Jones Allessio (Paul), son, Jay Jones, brother-in-law Bob Jones (Diane), as well as several nieces and nephews.    

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC.
