Mrs. Jean Samuels Marshall passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at her home in Greenville, S.C.
Mrs. Marshall was born on March 27th in Chester, S.C. to the late Melvin Louis and Eula McManus Samuels. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Don Marshall, as well as her five sisters and two brothers. She was educated at Chester High School and Winthrop University.
After moving numerous times with the Celanese Corporation, Jean and her family settled in Lake Wylie, S.C. in 1978. She loved serving at River Hills Community Church on various committees and with the Heritage Society Foundation. She also served on the board of the Early Learning Partnership of York County. Jean treasured her time with her family and considered it life’s greatest blessing.
Jean is survived by her son, Doug Marshall (Kristy) and grandson, Cameron; daughter, Cynthia Marshall Owens and granddaughter, Caroline; and many dear nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held for family members. The celebration of life service will be Wednesday, November 16th at 2:00 pm at the Community Church of Lake Wylie, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, Lake Wylie, with visitation to follow.
