Mr. Jerry Lynn Green, 72, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October, 1, 2022 at the Community Church at Lake Wylie. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the Church.
Jerry L. Green was born October 28, 1949 in Nashville, TN to the late Charles Elmer Green and Betty Margaret Merritt Green. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and he was a devoted father, husband, friend and grandfather. He retired from JCPenney’s after 41 successful years. After retiring, Jerry knew he wanted to continue to make a difference in people’s lives, he went on to teach job skills at Gaston College in Gastonia, N.C and helped many people find jobs. Jerry received so much joy by helping others and expected nothing in return. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling to the Florida Keys with his wife Carol and fishing with his kids and grandkids on his boat in Lake Wylie. He had a heart of gold, was a fighter and a man of strong faith. He touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Ervin.
Survivors are his wife of 22 years Carol Roberts Caton; daughters Angela Gay (David) of Alexandria, TN, Libra Deaton (David) of Marion, NC and Jessica Brick (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; son Andrew Green (Charlise) of Greenbrier, TN; step-daughter Amber Bloch; step-son Gentry Caton; sister Judy May; brother Phillip Green; grandchildren Michelle, Haley, Holly, Shane, Logan, Cadence, Matthew, Avah, Austin, and Amelia; and step-grandchildren Abbey, Cassidy, Spencer and Hartley.
