Mr. Jerry Raymond Miglorini, 84, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, preceded by his wife of 54 years, Judith (Judy) Miglorini, just 22 days earlier.
A Memorial Mass will be held on October 2, at 10:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 530, Highway 274, Lake Wylie, SC. Jerry and Judy will be interred at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Illinois at a later date.
Mr. Miglorini was born on October 4, 1936 in Joliet, IL to the late Raymond and Peggy Delrose Miglorini.
Survivors are his son Michael Miglorini of Crest Hill, IL; daughter Dawn Miglorini-Brya (Michael) of Willowbrook, IL; son Jerrod Miglorini (Deborah) of Homer Glenn, IL; and daughters Melinda Bumber (Kirk) of Lake Wylie, SC; and grandchildren Corey Miglorini, Sabrina Miglorini, Bailey Cook, Keaghen Miglorini, Mia Miglorini, McKena Miglorini, Haley Bumber and Kacey Bumber; and great grandchildren Harper Miglorini and Kinsley Miglorini; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by sisters Arlene Joutras and Judy Hadala (Dale).
Jerry became a second lieutenant in the US Army after graduating from Xavier University, Ohio. After his first tour of duty, Jerry was recalled a year later for Vietnam and promoted to Captain. He was assigned to command a HAWK missile unit in Germany. His last command was a NIKE missile unit near Chicago, Illinois. After he was released from active duty, Jerry married his sweetheart, Judy in Joliet, Illinois during what became the “Blizzard of 1967”. Jerry went on to work in the newspaper business. After the distributorships were re-organized, Jerry went into automobile sales where he was top salesman for many years. He enjoyed his retirement years with his children and grandchildren. Family was everything to him.
