Mr. Jimmie Ferrell Brady, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. He passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jimmie was born on July 5, 1945 to the late Barney and Geneva Caviness Brady. He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 59 years, Iris Yvonne Brady.
He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Ellen Brady Yager of Fort Mill, SC; son Danny Farrell Brady (Tonia) of Lake Wylie, SC; sister JoAnn Williams; brothers Donnie Brady and Phil Brady; grandchildren Garrett Brady, Kendall Brady, Danielle Merrick, Jordan Yager Bryan, Houston Yager, Logan Yager, and Colton Yager; and great grandchildren Jaxon Merrick, Stevie Merrick, Makoa Merrick, Walker Bryan, Judah Yager, Joni Yager, Lylah Yager, Irie Yager and Elijah Yager.
Jimmie was a devoted family man, remembered for his generous spirit, discerning nature, and love of the open road. While known for his expert mechanical skills and love of riding motorcycles, he was also committed to making time to attend countless baseball, basketball and football games that his kids and grandkids participated in. In addition, he enjoyed time in the North Carolina and Tennessee mountains with his family touring and picnicking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. His ashes will be spread there in a private event.
Jimmie’s legacy lives on in the memories he created, the machines he brought back to life, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him.
While we will miss Jimmie immensely, we take comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord in Heaven. The family thanks you for your loving prayers and friendship during this difficult time.
At Jimmie’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
We ask that if you feel led to honor Jimmie’s memory, please consider donating to hospice in his name.
