Mr. Jimmy Vern Cauble, Jr., 73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at home.
The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Crowders Creek A.R.P. Church, 207 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia, NC, with the Rev. Josh Hair officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the Church beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Cauble was born October 9, 1950, in Stanley County, NC, to the late Jimmy Vern Cauble and Anzonetta Drye Cauble.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Gardner Webb University. Jim retired in 2003 as Superintendent of Gaston Correctional Center. He had over 30 years of service to the State of North Carolina at that time.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn Brown Cauble, son, Jimmy “Trey” Vern Cauble, III, and sisters, Cindy C. Shaver and Donna L. Cauble.
Survivors are his daughter Jen C. DeJacimo (Mike) of York, SC; son Andy Cauble (Kimberly) of Clover, SC; grandchildren Zaben T. DeJacimo, Josias T. DeJacimo, Canaan T. DeJacimo, MaLeila R. DeJacimo, Nicholas W. Cauble, and Timothy E. Cauble; and brother Steve Cauble of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Crowders Creek A.R.P. Church, 207 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
