Mr. Joseph William Barnett, 78, of Greer, SC, formerly of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in Greenville, SC.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2445 Hwy. 557, Clover, SC, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Mark Minnick of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Church Fellowship Hall.

A Life Celebration drop-in will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 115 Cedar Lane Road, Greenville, SC.

Mr. Barnett was born October 29, 1942, in York, SC, to the late Thomas Meek and Maud Cox Barnett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a graduate of Clemson College and earned his master's from the University of Kentucky.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Joanne Hambright Barnett; sons Creed Barnett (Kristen) and Quay Barnett (Michelle); grandchildren Adam Vail Barnett, Audrey Anna Barnett, Aynsley Blair Barnett, and Tucker Bryce Barnett; and his sister Marianne Falls.
