Mrs. Judith Louise Frerking Moore, 80, of York, SC, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Highpoint at Fort Mill, Fort Mill, SC.

Mrs. Moore was born May 25, 1945, in Charlotte, NC to the late Rev. Dr. Leslie F. Frerking and Metta Katherine Drumm Frerking.  She was retired from the Rock Hill School District and the widow of Robert Hanna Moore.

Judi was a devoted Christian and beloved mother and grandmother. She loved working at Northwestern with her colleagues and students. She was known for her exuberant laughter, fantastic cooking, and you could always find her in the yard trimming, pruning, and watering. She will be greatly missed. 

Survivors are her daughters Shawn Settlemyre Giese of Columbia, SC and Stephanie Settlemyre Reed (Michael) of Chester, SC; sister Susan Frohm of Simpsonville, SC; brother John Frerking (Eileen) of North Palm Beach, FL; and grandchildren Metta Giese, Keith Giese, Alex Reed (Avery), and Abby Reed.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Keith Giese, her sister, Anne Engle and her brother, Robert Frerking.
