Mrs. Julia Ann Hopper Ipock, 88, of Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC.

Ann was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Gastonia. She was a devoted Christian and lived a life of faith, serving God and sharing his love with others. As a gifted self-taught pianist, she not only filled our home with beautiful melodies, but she served as a church pianist in several local churches. 

She retired from the Gaston County School District where she enjoyed working in the school cafeteria for many years. Some of her favorite-shared memories were made with students at Webb Street School, Gastonia, NC.

The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday June 29, 2025 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N Main St., Clover, SC. There will be an on-sight chapel service at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC.

Mrs. Ipock was born April 19, 1937 in York County, SC to the late Rufus Bratton and Etta Morrison Hopper. A son, Timmy Beaver, sisters Crystal Sipe, Myrtle Williams, Margaret Gordon, Mildred Oates, and Effie Hopper, and brother, R. B. Hopper, preceded her in death.

Survivors are her husband Tommy Ipock, III; daughters Debra Lynn Preston (Neil) of Gastonia, NC and Ann Renee Peeler (Roger) of Dallas, NC; son Thomas Dwayne Beaver (Stephanie) of Dallas, NC; grandchildren Christopher Goodwin (Elaine), Jessica Beaver, Brooke Jenkins (Matt), Brandon Beaver, Brad Beaver (Brianna), Brittany Peeler, and Tyler Peeler; and great grandchildren Hayden Goodwin, Reagan Goodwin, Kara Jenkins, Tucker Jenkins, and Wade Beaver.
