“One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered” Proverbs 11:24-25
Mr. Keith Lawson Brackett, age 66, of Clover, SC passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at home.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Trent Thomas and Gunther Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
Mr. Brackett was born November 4, 1957, in Belmont, NC to the late Joe Lawson Brackett and Katherine Marcelle Mims Brackett.
Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Shirley Hawkins Brackett; sons Brett Brackett (Stacie) and Brice Brackett (Cassie), both of Clover, SC; daughter Lawson Brackett Gray (Kenny) of York, SC; brother Mike Brackett (Robin) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Avery and Boyd, and George Brackett, and Kennedy and Kix Gray. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Millie Kate Brackett.
Keith was an active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and longtime member of the Good Samaritans committee. Always a giver, he was generous with his time and resources to his church, his family, and anyone else he knew of that was in need. He was the owner/operator of Progressive Plastics in Clover, SC for 37 years. He was in the process of becoming “working retired” and was extremely proud of the way Brett and Brice handled the daily operations. His favorite hobby was loving and caring for his favorite girls, Shirley and Lawson. The arrival of his first grandchild in 2018 signaled the next phase of life. His grandchildren brought him great joy and he counted them as his life’s greatest accomplishments.
