Mrs. Kelly Ruth Cooke Brill, 62, of Maiden, NC, formerly of Clover, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Hibriten Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lenoir, NC, after a long battle with illness.
Kelly was born on October 2, 1963, in Gastonia, NC, to Betty Ruth Armstrong Cooke and the late Robert Howard Cooke. She was the President of Catawba Custom Covers and was known for her dedication, strength, and love for her family. Everyone who knew Kelly knew that she lived her life as if it were her last day here. She was sure to give you a laugh and talk about her Grandchildren that she loved so much. In true “Kelly” fashion, she left this world to live her eternal life on her favorite holiday, Saint Patrick’s Day.
She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick “Pat” Joseph Brill; her daughters, Ginger Burton (Sherman Johnson), Ashley Smith (Jason), both of Clover, SC, and Casie Wells (Justin Runyon) of York, SC; her son, John Berryhill (Kayla) of Clover, SC; her mother, Betty A. Cooke of Clover, SC; her sister, Shannon C. Roberts (Ivan) of Valdese, NC; and eleven cherished grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Robin C. Ammons, and her brother, Keith Cooke.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul Methodist Church, with Rev. Monica Tilley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. The family would love for everyone who plans to attend to wear a shade of green in some form, as that was her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Methodist Church in Clover, SC, in honor of Kelly or to a nonprofit of your choice.
M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover, SC, is serving the family of Mrs. Brill.
