Mrs. Lala Koonts Myers, 93, of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Mrs. Myers  was born August 29, 1928 in Lexington, NC, to the late Protus Lether and Nellie Sink Koonts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland E. Myers, Sr.; her sisters Joanne Craver and Carolyn Pitts.

After graduating from Lexington High School and attending Lenoir-Rhyne College, she worked in the Register of Deeds Office, Raleigh State Health Department, and for Provident Insurance Company as an adjuster. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and deeply loved her family, her home and friends in Clover, playing golf and bridge, and working in her yard.

Survivors are her daughters Susan M. Smith (Howard) of Smyrna, GA; Marie M. Brinkley (David) of Kings Mountain, NC; Margaret M. McCarter (Mack) of Clover, SC; son Roland E. Myers, Jr. (Jane) of North Augusta, SC; her sister Patty King of Lexington, NC; ten grandchildren: Kristie (Ryan), Carrie (Bryan), Michael (Vinitha), David (Alisha), Justin, Heath (Shelby), Morgan Jane, Davis, Carmen, Luke, and eight great grandchildren: Colton, Brinkley, Wyatt, Parker, Grantham, Hayes, Paige, and Jaya.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Clover, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.
