Mr. Larry Wilson Ratchford, 80, of Gastonia, NC, passed away surrounded by his family at home.

Graveside service will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 5615 Union Road, Gastonia, NC with the Rev. Lewis Gunn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Ratchford was born May 1, 1944, in York County, SC to the late Robert Wilson Ratchford and Nancy Brandon Ratchford.  He retired after 29 years from Duke Power Catawba Nuclear Station and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors are his wife of over 61 years, Doris McCarter Ratchford; daughter Robin Ratchford Bailey (Martin) of Long Beach, CA; son Troy Alan Ratchford (Holly) of Gastonia, NC; and grandchildren Joshua Ratchford, Ericka B. DeSon (Brian) and Ashleigh Bailey.
