Miss Leigh Eshai Pendleton, 16, of Clover, SC, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Leigh was born on June 23, 2009 in Charlotte, NC.
Survivors are her parents Josh and Brittany Pendleton; sisters Jaedyn, Skylir, and Adalaide; paternal grandparents Pat and Evelyn Pendleton; maternal grandfather Ronald First; maternal grandmother Dana Skornicka all of Clover, SC; uncles Jordan First, Josh Rice and Matt Neilson; aunt Katie Pendleton; cousins Bowen, Brayden and Grayson; and her church family at Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Wylie.
Leigh, the youngest triplet, had a beautiful soul, caring deeply for others.
A rising 11th grader at Clover High School, she was known for her outstanding performances in track and field, soccer, and softball. During her time as a Blue Eagle athlete, Leigh won numerous awards including being an all-conference player during the 2022-2023 school year, winning the 400-meter race in 2023, and breaking the school record in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 13:38 in 2024.
In addition to being a Blue Eagle athlete, she won numerous championships while being a member of the Clover Outlaws Travel Softball Team.
Leigh was gifted in her athletic abilities and was well-loved by her coaches and teammates.
Leigh cherished her family friends, never failing to show kindness to each one of them. She was one who consistently had a positive impact on the lives of those around her.
Leigh leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. Because of this, our lives have been forever changed for the better by having the gift of Leigh for the past sixteen years.
Leigh, you fought the good fight and have finished your race. We will see you again soon. Until then, you will remain in our hearts forever! We love you!

A community-wide Celebration of Life will occur on Thursday, July 17th, at 6:00 PM at the District Resources Center Auditorium, also known as the Blue Eagle Academy, located at 300 Clinton Avenue in Clover, SC.
