Leona Arasim Daugird Hannan left this world peacefully on January 10, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Lee was born on October 19, 1925 in Spillertown, Illinois. She was beloved by many, affectionately known as Miss Lee to some and Grandma Lee to others.  As one of her great-grandkids said so well, she was very kind, thoughtful, and didn’t just help herself get through the hard times in her long life, but helped others get through the hard times in their lives. Amazing and wonderful, she lives on in our hearts and minds-always beloved, Grandma Lee.  Lee was a role model as a mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend.  Her granddaughter said it well: she leaves behind a long-lasting legacy of love, connection, and time well-spent.  She taught us not only how to live well, but how to die gracefully.  We will miss her dearly.
