Mr. Leroy Chappell, 91 of Clover, SC passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at Harbor Chase, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 490 Griggs Road, Clover SC with the Rev. Dr. Elwood Seamster officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.

Mr. Chappell was born March 22, 1933, in Six Mile, SC to the late Ernest P. and Selma Hughes Chappell. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War with the 82nd Airborne where he received a purple heart. Mr. Chappell worked in textiles until he retired from Marion Yarns.

Mr. Chappell was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Bishop, Nell Richardson and Ruth Hughes and one brother, Ernest Chappell.

Survivors are his wife Patricia Bryant Chappell; daughter Sharon Chappell McCarter and husband Russell; son Terry Chappell and wife Rebecca, both of Clover, SC; grandchildren Micah Chappell and wife Theresa; Nathan McCarter and wife Katrina; Joshua McCarter and wife Katherine and seven great grandchildren.

He loved his Lord, his church family, his family and his community.
