It is with great sadness that the family of Lucas James Sutliffe, age 30, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, share the news of his passing at home Saturday, November 20, 2021.

Lucas was born June 2, 1991, to Gloria Dow Sutliffe and the late Steven Harold Sutliffe, in Biddeford, Maine.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Sutliffe; wife, Erin Summy Sutliffe; sister, Amanda Sutliffe Prochazka; brother, Steven (Bo) Sutliffe, II; and stepson, Jayden Chambers.

Lucas graduated from Clover High School in 2009. He went on to attend York Technical College and graduated in 2013 with his Associates Degree in Computer Technology. He began his career at the Lake Wylie Walmart, where the employees were like family to him. He worked for Walmart for eight years and was promoted to Assistant Manager over two years ago.  

Lucas enjoyed building computers in his early years and weightlifting in his later years.  He was a brilliant young man who impressed others with his vast knowledge in so many different subjects. His family would like those who share in their sadness and grief to know that he loved everyone who touched his life.  He would like people smile when they think of him and not cry, for Lucas will live in those happy memories forever. 

A memorial service with visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC.
