Mrs. Lula Mae Hagans Hodge, 85, of Clover, SC, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at home.
A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Clover Church of the Nazarene, 102 Hagans Street, Clover, SC, with the Rev. Brett Boykin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the church before the service. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hodge was born May 4, 1938, in Lincolnton, NC to the late Albert Vernon and Emma Dovie Sisk Hagans. She was the widow of Leonard Melvin Hodge and was retired from the Clover School District Transportation Department. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Payne Hodge, and her sisters, Dot Palmer and Vickie Smith.
Lula Hodge was loved by everyone, and she loved everyone. She was truly a Saint in every sense of the word. She gave relentlessly, even when she did not have the money to do so. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, and best friend. Most importantly, she absolutely loved her family, her church, and her God, who is now holding her hand.
Survivors are her daughter Patricia H. Walker (Jeff) of Shelby, NC; sons Arnold K. Hodge, Craig B. Hodge (Natalee) both of Clover, SC and Dale W. Hodge of Blacksburg, SC; sister Susie Dianne Whitworth; grandchildren Aaron Hodge, Bobby Hodge (Nikki), Craig David Hodge (Orlaith), William Brandon Hodge (Allison), Landon Bryant Hodge, Aedan Clarke, Nolan Clarke, Jamin Walker, and Johnathan Walker (Chasity); and great grandchildren Erin Hodge, Nevaeh Beard, Karma Hodge, Katie Hodge, Brayden Hodge, Colton Hodge, Easton Hodge, Gideon Hodge, Layla Walker, and Jaden Walker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Clover Church of the Nazarene, 102 Hagan Street, Clover, SC 29710.
