Marie Husvar, of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025. Born and raised in New Jersey, Marie carried with her an energy as vibrant as her art, a creativity that touched everything she did, and a warmth that made everyone around her feel at home. A gifted artist and skilled craftsman, she had a natural talent for creating beauty; whether with a brush, a project in her hands, or the welcoming spaces she made for friends and family.
Marie was the epitome of the devoted, active mother and wife. She poured her heart into raising her children Susan, Kenneth, and Jennifer. She was the quintessential ’80s mom; always on the move, driving her beloved sports cars, filling the house with music and laughter, and showing up for every practice, swim meet, tennis match and milestone. She was a fierce friend, an avid tennis player, and a golfer, known for her sharp putting game and quiet confidence on the green.
She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Tom Husvar. Together, Marie and Tom shared a long, beautiful marriage built on love, laughter, and adventure. They found joy in entertaining and traveling, and their home was always a gathering place for friends and family. Within the River Hills community and at All Saints Catholic Church, they built deep and lasting connections that enriched their lives and the lives of those around them.
Marie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth Husvar, Jennifer Husvar, and Susan Bryson; her grandchildren Albert and Grace, her siblings, Louis Vintalore, Teresa Boccino, and Chris Auriemma; and her many nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her vibrant spirit and generosity.
The family wishes to thank their friends, neighbors, and the River Hills and All Saints communities for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
