Obituary
Marlene Sipe Willis, age 70, of Shelby, NC, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Zoar Baptist Church, Shelby, NC with the Rev. Dr. Jim McConnell officiating.
A lifelong educator, Marlene spent most of her teaching years at Thomson Middle School in Thomson, GA. She often spoke of the many friends she made along the way, and how proud she was to be a teacher. Marlene also loved singing, and for many years was a dedicated member of the choir at First Baptist Church in Washington, GA.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, sister, and friend, Marlene was loved by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Alzheimer’s research.
